Catholic School Community Council

Being a part of our Catholic School Community Council is one of many ways that you can get involved with your child's school. Be a voice for Catholic education and foster good relations among parents, staff, local community and related groups.

Everyone is welcome to participate in our school council and you may even decide to run for one of the executive positions.

For the 2021-2022 school year please submit a digital Candidate Nomination Form if you are interested in joining the council.

You may see the pdf Candidate Nomination Form for more details; however, we will not be collecting printed forms at this time.
NOTE: the term of office is a one-year term
Deadline for submission is 8:30am on Wednesday, September 29

POSITIONS ON THE CSCC (SMCDSB maximum is 18 members)
  1. Majority of Parents, including 2 executive positions:
    1. Chair/Co-Chairs
    2. Secretary
  2. Principal (or Vice Principal)
  3. One teacher from the school
  4. One non-teaching employee of the school
  5. One student from the school (optional at elementary)
  6. One community member appointed by the council
  7. One person appointed by an association that is a member of the Ontario Association of Parents in Catholic Education

  1. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 6:30 pm (all who submit a nomination form will be sent the Google Meet link). On the agenda: election of executive and first meeting
  2. Other meetings TBD at the first meeting - per article 6:10 of the SMCDSB Catholic School Community Council Policy (PCE-02) the CSCC must hold a minimum of 4 meetings per school year.
